Why Occupy? I can only see one Canada

I am writing to you from McDonald Gardens here in Ottawa. The park at the core of the community is named after Sir John A., but it is often referred to as Borden Park because of our history. It is one of the only places in the world where Cemeteries where replaced by a vibrant community. In the same way, I can not see McDonald Gardens as a Cemetery and a Community in the same time, I cannot see two Canada’s in the present moment.

I can see a Canada where the gap between the top 1% is no longer a big spead. I can see a Canada were the OCCUPY movement and the Peace Movement are one. I can only see a Canada vibrant in its 21st century moment. I can see a Canada where world security and world domination are though direct democracy. I can ONLY see one Canada, a Canada of Peace, of respect for people, a Canada where people are ahead of man-made rules, where democracy for the people and by the people work hand in hand.

I choose to see a Canada where the politics of unity replace the politics of division, I choose to see a Canada where the homeless dont get coins, they get CHANGE. I see a Canada where the aging population are not the exploit of the 1% for power. I see a Canada where pipelines are replaced by clean air and vehicles that use other sources. I can only see one Canada, a Canada of "OCCUPY" and a Canada vibrant in its 21st century moment.

I can’t see a Canada where Missing Sisters are given a different priority than other Missing woman in Canada because they have an aborigibal heritage, I cant see a Canada where Tobacco is a habit while other addictions are given to treatment centers, I cant see a Canada where a Sarcoidosis sufferer does not have the same access to inter-disciplinary care in specialized treatment centers as the Cancer patient, I can’t see a Canada where Cultural Diversity and official bilingualism don’t work hand in hand for Canadian Identity, I cannot see a Canada, where a Single Father is not given the same priority and speedy recognition as a single mother, I cannot see a Canada where we showcase a Schoolnet for the world, but can’t have our own because we have provinces in charge of educating our young, I cannot see a Canada where one NGO like Canadian Friends of Pearl Children goes without CIDA assistance while others get the full backing, I cannot see a Canada where funds from Revenue Canada are withheld from people who need it most because the sum exceeds $5000.00 while those who have less entitlement and need get their cheque right away, I cannot see a Canada where identity on the internet is managed differently than identity in everything else, SIN cards and Public Key Infrastructure can work together. I cannot see a Canada where spectrum sales has priority over giving universal access and the trans-Canadian information Highway for all. I can only see a Canada where all beliefs bring us together as one and bind us all to one origin. I can see only one Canada.

I can only choose one Canada at a time, , and I choose to see a better Canada, Canada of tradition and a Canada in the best 21st century moment. I choose to see a Canada vibrant with vision in the present and for the future.

We can begin to offer consumers products and share revenues to suport bird and animal sanctuaries, youth enterprises, second careers and fairly traded coffees from around the globe. Staff in companies, banks, organisations can volunteer time to local Non-Govermemental Organizations and local charitable causes.

When you choose to believe, that special treasurescan bring enjoy and be shared they bring s us back to the true origin of money - Love. Know where your dollars are going and make them go to the right place.

Being ONE is more than just thought...its a way of life.
